After having my first baby in 2015, I was 30kgs heavier and in a bid to lose that weight, I dabbled into the healthy lifestyle and fell in love with it. Before then, I didn’t even know the meaning of “calories”, lol.

Based on my research for healthier food options, I saw a market opportunity and started to create food blends with the superfood ingredients around me in my home country Nigeria, some of which I grew up eating but did not pay attention to. These ingredients include Fonio, Baobab, Tigernuts, Cocoa, Dates and our herbs and spices.

Leveraging social media, I started educating moms about the benefits of these ingredients and how to use them and this led to the birth of Aga’s Wholesome Foods, Lagos, Nigeria in July 2017. I created our own unique blends using these ingredients which our customers keep raving about. 

I went on to obtain a health coaching certification in June 2022 so I can also help my customers from a health professional angle. 

My family moved to Canada in June 2021 and I quickly discovered that these ingredients are not available in convenient and ready to use packs on the shelves in Canada so we have launched operations here in February 2024 to fill the gap.
